We live in Cascade, and the cedar shake roof on our 1960s house had rot around the chimney that two other roofers told us to just caulk over. Mill Valley roofing did a full tear-off of the back slope, replaced the decking, and set new chimney flashing with self-adhered underlayment underneath.
